Customers Editing (Add, Edit, Delete)

This section describes how to create, edit or delete customers, how to send an instant e-mail to your customer and export customer data to Excel.

Basic Operations

From the customers toolbar and context menuyou can perform the following basic operations:

1. Refresh data  forces customers list update. It is useful when you're changing connection or have any doubts like is the latest data displayed.  
2. Add customer  calls blank edit customer form, which is used to create a new customer.  
3. To edit customer you can double-click on it or use edit customer button . It calls edit customer form for the customer you've selected . Please see below for options.  
4. You can delete customer from your store . You won't be able to undo delete from store option, unless you've made a Database backup.  
Among the additional actions you may select:
1. To send an email to your customer use the appropriate button 
2. To save all your customers data in excel use the export to Excel button .
3. To adjust all columns width use autosize  icon.

Customer Editing

Most frequently used option at the customers section is edit customer. You can call edit customer dialog by doubleclicking on ones' record or using a corresponding icon on the toolbar/context menu. You can find the following edit customer dialog pages:

1. General

This page displays required and most important information about the customer : First and Last Name, Gender, Date of birth, e-mail, Phone and Fax numbers, and store account access password. Also you can enable/disable newsletter option for e-mail notification about any news on the store.

2. Company/Address tab displays address book data, such as customer company Name, shipping and/or billing address.

3. Other

All information on this page is generated automatically. It is used to inform you about the time when account was created, last time it was modified, how many times the customer logged on to your store and when was the last log on time. Also you can enable/disable global product notification option (for e-mail notification about any price changes) on this page.

4. Extra Fields

The availability and appearance of this page depends on the contributions which you have installed at your store. It won't be shown if there are none of these. Otherwise it will look like a two-column table, listing parameters and their values.
